AFL Operating Boxcar

Variation D: brown painted black plastic lettered "American Flyer Lines"; Type D trucks without slots. Works well. No button or rail. Includes 2 boxes. One of the left door lower rail mounting holes got melted; rail is superglued to bottom of shell. Original two-piece brakewheel has been replaced by a later one-piece plastic brakewheel. Cosmetically a great-looking car with bright lettering and nice paint lustre. If it weren't for the brakewheel and door glide, I'd rate it a strong C-6 to C-7.
