Freight Train Sets pulled by the
#307 Reading Atlantic engine
There were ten different freight sets pulled by the #307 Reading Atlantic engine that Gilbert sold under seventeen different stock numbers between 1954 and 1957.  Most never appeared in a Gilbert catalog.

All of the sets shown here were made up using cars in my collection.

#5401T Crusader set, sold in 1954, with the #905 log car and #938 caboose.
(Since I don't have a #905 log car yet, my #605 is standing in.)  The set also includes
12 #702 curved track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and 704 manual uncoupler.

It was also sold in three unnamed sets, #14SP in 1954, #40 in 1954, and #116 in 1955, each of which also included a #566 whistling billboard.

It was also sold during 1954 in the W. W. Granger catalog as the #2H339 Bargain Crusader Freight set.
#5500T, The New Crusader Freight set, sold in 1955, with the #923 IC reefer, the #940 Wabash Hopper, and the #938 caboose.  The set also includes 12 #702 curved track, a #690 track terminal,
#1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and 704 manual uncoupler.

It was also sold as Granger's 1955 Bargain Crusader Freight set, renumbered as #2H347.
The #100ADV Advertising set with a #931 gondola, #923 IC reefer, and #938 caboose, sold in 1955.
One of the sets created by Gilbert to reduce their inventory of unsold 1954 products, it came with
20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and
#747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
The #103 unnamed set with a #931 gondola, #923 IC reefer, #940 Wabash Hopper, and
#938 caboose, sold in 1955.  Another of the sets created by Gilbert to reduce their inventory
of unsold 1954 products, it came with 20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, 704 manual uncoupler, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
The #128 unnamed set with a #931 gondola, #923 IC reefer, #941 Frisco Gondola, and
#938 caboose, sold in 1955.  Another of the sets created by Gilbert to reduce their inventory
of unsold 1954 products, it came with 20 #702 curved track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, 704 manual uncoupler, and #799 Talking Station.
In 1956 the consist of Granger's #2H347 Bargain Crusader Freight set changed to
the
#802 IC reefer, the #805 Pennsylvania Gondola, and the #806 caboose.  The set again includes
12 #702 curved track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and 704 manual uncoupler.
#1120 unnamed set sold in 1956 with the #802 IC reefer, the #928 Lumber Flatcar, and the #806 caboose.  The set again includes 12 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal,
#1 35-watt transformer, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
#1130 unnamed set sold in 1956 with the #802 IC reefer, the #801 B&O Hopper, the #805 Pennsylvania Gondola, and the #806 caboose.  The set also includes 20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, #1 35-watt transformer, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
#1170 unnamed set sold in 1956 with the #802 IC reefer, the #805 Pennsylvania Gondola,
the
#803 Santa Fe Chief boxcar, the #801 B&O Hopper, the #925 Gulf tank car, and the #806 caboose.  The set also includes 20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
#1195 unnamed set sold in 1956 with the #801 B&O Hopper, the #803 Santa Fe Chief boxcar,
the
#805 Pennsylvania Gondola, the #925 Gulf tank car, and the #806 caboose.  The set also includes
20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, #706 remote uncoupler,
#1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
